Welcome back to the God of Creation online Bible study! This week our personal study focused on Genesis 4-6, looking at the continued spread of wickedness after the murder of Abel. As we continue to see the effects of sin on the world, we also see God’s faithfulness in making a way for redemption. We can’t wait to hear what you learned about God this week!
As a reminder, we’ll leave all the videos up until September 30, 2018, allowing some breathing room for those who join in late or miss a couple of weeks. After that you can purchase the video or audio sessions here.
Did you miss a few sessions? Don’t worry!
- Which attitude (justice, revenge, or mercy) is more likely to characterize your actions when you perceive someone has wronged you? How could you change your perception of the situation to help you demonstrate mercy instead of justice or revenge? (page 114)
- Several generations pass before the righteous line of Seth begins to call upon the name of the Lord. What factors make us slow to begin to call upon Him when we are in distress or facing temptation? (page 116)
- What aspect of God’s character has this week’s passage of Genesis show you more clearly? (page 123)
- Is there one thought or sentence that stuck out to you in this week’s video? What stood out and why?
Before next week, complete Week 8: The Flood (pages 128-137) in your Bible study book. We’ll see you next time!
