We here at LifeWay Women often open these posts with, “We’re so excited to tell you about …” and then announce an upcoming project. It’s true. We’re excited about everything we get to tell you about. We love our events, our Bible studies, and our books because we know they’ll impact the lives of the women who encounter them! We can’t wait to see how God uses the work we get to be a part of for His glory and our good.
But today I’m taking a page from my editor’s handbook and I’m going to show you, not tell you, how excited we are about this new product.
We don’t always know very far in advance what we’ll be publishing, but we’ve known about the She Reads Truth Bible for quite some time. We would hear bits and pieces of information in meetings and in the hallways of our offices. Each time, someone would say, “I can’t wait!” or “It’s going to be so good!” The release date seemed so far away.
Then, as the Christian Standard Bible released, excitement for the She Reads Truth version built. One day, the elevator opened to Amy exclaiming, “Look! Look what I’m holding! I have to put it back, but here it is!” She literally squealed and set the mock-up copy of the Bible back in the hands of the B&H representative. Now our hallways are buzzing with, “Have you seen one yet in real life?,” “They’re soooo pretty!,” and “I can’t wait to get a copy!”
I guess you could say we’re so excited to tell you about the She Reads Truth Bible!
I know you’re wondering what sets the She Reads Truth Bible apart. First, watch this video:
Now, let me tell you a little bit more about it.
The She Reads Truth Bible aims to live at the intersection of beauty, goodness, and Truth. Featuring devotionals by the She Reads Truth team, and Scripture reading plans that include supplemental passages for deeper understanding, this Bible invites every woman to count themselves among the She Reads Truth community of “Women in the Word of God every day.” The She Reads Truth Bible also features 66 key verses, artfully lettered to aid in Scripture memorization.

The She Reads Truth Bible features the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) text. Translated by more than 100 scholars from 17 denominations, the Christian Standard Bible features an optimal blend of accuracy and readability that’s faithful for serious study, and written with heart-stirring clarity that inspires readers to live and share it. Raechel Myers says about the Christian Standard Bible, “At She Reads Truth, our mission is women in the Word of God every day. This means that the translation we use must be faithful to the original text, but also reflect it in a way that any person can understand. The Christian Standard Bible’s balanced approach helps us accomplish our mission.”
The She Reads Truth Bible is available with several different covers—all pretty. You can purchase it online or in a LifeWay Christian Store near you on April 15, but you can preorder one now! Here’s the poppy:

We can hardly contain our excitement about this Bible because we know God’s Word is living and active. As Amanda Bible Williams says, “God’s Word is beautiful, good, and true.” The She Reads Truth Bible points to the beauty of God’s Word while helping readers see its truth and goodness. We can’t wait for women to open this Bible and read the Truth.
What is the difference between the indexed and non-indexed bibles? They both appear to have the same features, and I guess I’m just not clear on what “indexed” means/indicates…
Thank you!
Hi Elizabeth! Great question. Indexed means that there are tabs cut out of the pages so that you can find the books of the Bible. You can click here to see some images of the indexed Bible in case that is helpful!
What is the actual font size of the Word of God (not the key verses or devotionals )? Thank you
Hi Katie! The font size is 8.5. Hope this helps!

Lee, that’s a great question. We actually publish some Bibles with the words in Jesus in red and some Bibles with the words of Jesus in black. The reason for this is that two preferences developed when color printing became available and the words of Jesus could be printed in red: one group that wanted to draw special attention to the words of Jesus and one group who wanted all Scripture printed in black because it is all inspired by God. Both groups have completely valid stances, so our publishing team makes a decision on a Bible by Bible basis for which direction to take. For many of our highly designed Bibles, like the She Reads Truth Bible, we tend towards not printing the words of Jesus in red, so this is not a feature that we are currently planning on offering with this Bible. We’d recommend checking out our CSB Study Bible if you’re looking for something with the words of Jesus in red. Click here to learn more about that Bible!
I’m thinking of ordering this bible. I hear the pages are thin, so can you please recommend a great highlighter for this bible? Thank you!
Hi Pamela! We actually recommend using highlighter pencils (like these) for this Bible.
Thank you Jessica! I will order the pencils! Have a blessed day!
Do any of the formats have thicker pages? or will they in the near future? I have read several complaints of the pages being super thin (even the text from the back side showing through?). I was hoping this would be a good journal Bible. Any current user thoughts? Thank you.
Hi Michelle! Great question. The She Reads Truth Bible currently only comes in one page thickness option. Part of the reason the pages are slightly thinner is to keep the Bible affordable and around its current size. There are several extras as well as journaling/notes space in this Bible, which would make for a larger and more expensive Bible if thicker pages were used. The She Reads Truth team tried several pens with this Bible and really loved Muji .38 pens! Hope this helps
