So many studies … so little time! With the fall semester right around the corner, you might be thinking, What is my group going to study next?!? We’ve had a lot of great releases this year, so here’s a quick list of our newest options and why each one might be a good fit for your next women’s group.
- Entrusted by Beth Moore | 6 sessions
Why this one might work for your group:
- Unlike a lot of Beth’s previous studies, Entrusted is only 6 sessions. If longer 10 to 12 sessions studies don’t work with your schedule but you like Beth’s teaching style, this would be a great one to try next.
- Check this study out if you like going verse-by-verse through a Book of the Bible, if you’re looking for a multi-generational study with an emphasis on mentoring, or if you want to know how to live God’s calling in your life.
- If your group likes (or needs!) the challenge of Scripture memory, this is your study! Beth committed 2 Timothy to memory and encourages you to do the same. Plus there are supplemental Scripture memory cards available to help. (Preorders by August 15 get these as a free gift!)
- Redeemed by Angela Thomas-Pharr | 7 sessions
Why this one might work for your group:
- This foundational study breaks down sometimes confusing spiritual concepts like sanctification and redemption into understandable, practical ways to live out faith.
- This study is one we are recommending for all women—from new believers to seasoned Bible studiers. So no matter how diverse your group is, it will be a good fit.
- If your group likes (or needs!) the challenge of daily prayer, this is your study! Angela included 40 Days of Prayer that will take your group through the Book of Psalms.
- Missional Motherhood by Gloria Furman | 6 sessions
Why this one might work for your group:
- As the title implies, this is a great study for moms. However, the study also focuses on the gift of nurturing that all women have and use in different ways even if they aren’t called to traditional motherhood.
- An encouraging study for moms who lack confidence in their purpose. Participants will see motherhood in the bigger picture of God’s story.
- If your group likes (or needs!) shorter video, this is your study! While the video sessions for this study are essential, at only 15 minutes each, you will have plenty of time to watch a video and discuss even if you only have an hour. Great for busy moms’ groups with shorter meeting times.
- A Woman Who Doesn’t Quit by Nicki Koziarz | 6 sessions
Why this one might work for your group:
- Great for women who struggle to persevere through difficult times, achieve their goals, or follow through on commitments.
- This print-only study is great for groups who prefer not to watch a video. (But there are super short videos available for purchase if you like having a video element!)
- If your group likes (or needs!) practical habits to move forward in faith, this is your study! Participants will develop five truly practical ways to keep on keepin’ on by studying the Book of Ruth.
- Looking for Lovely by Annie F. Downs | 6 sessions
Why this one might work for your group:
- Great for women who are struggling struggling to see God’s work in the midst of hard times.
- This print-only study is great for groups who prefer not to watch a video. (But there are super short videos available for purchase if you like having a video element!)
- If your group likes (or needs!) a natural bridge to mentorship, this is your study! A teen girls’ version is also available, making it the perfect option if your women want to study the same thing as girls in your church.
- The Gospel of Mark by Lisa Harper | 7 sessions
Why this one might work for your group:
- Video sessions are around 30 minutes each, leaving enough time for discussion while still including a strong video teaching element.
- Study this action-packed gospel to take a closer look at the character of Christ. Discover what it means to be the recipients of His overflowing compassion and the very reason for His all-consuming passion.
- If your group likes (or needs!) to laugh while they learn, this is your study! Lisa has a sense of humor like no other, but her teaching still brings deep Bible truth.
- 1 Peter by Jen Wilkin | 9 sessions
Why this one might work for your group:
- The verse-by-verse approach helps participants learn biblical literacy skills that will apply no matter what they study in the future. This study is great for women who prefer more straightforward Bible teaching.
- With 9 sessions, it is an excellent fit for those seeking to fill a longer fall semester.
- If your group likes (or needs!) the challenge of regular Scripture reading, this is your study! Jen encourages you to read through the entire Book of 1 Peter each week.
