This recipe has been around awhile in various forms, but let’s face it you can’t reinvent the cookie. Nor should you want to. Essentially this recipe takes everything you love in the world of cookies and merges it into one fantastic experience. I hope you love these as much as I do.
Mom’s (raised four kids) Monster Cookies
Recipe can be halved
Ingredients
3 cups flour
1TBS baking powder
1TBS baking soda
1TBS cinnamon
1 Tsp salt
3 softened sticks of butter
1 1⁄2 cups white sugar
1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
1 TBS vanilla
3 cups chocolate chips
3 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups shredded coconut
2 cups chopped pecans
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in bowl. Then cream butter, white sugar and brown sugar with mixer. Then add 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Add vanilla. Mix well. Fold in chocolate chips, oats, coconut, and chopped pecans.
Put 1/4 cup of dough onto ungreased pan, 3 inches apart. Bake on 350 degrees for 17-19 minutes until lightly browned. If there are two pans, alternate top from bottom halfway through.
