Some good news & some bad news
Next week is our biggest week on Shelf Life! I’ll be announcing my favorite books of 2016! Monday will focus on my favorite nonfiction reads and Tuesday will highlight my favorite novels. I always enjoy sharing my top books for the year. It sparks great conversation with many of you on what books you enjoyed throughout the year, too.
Then… on Wednesday and Thursday… it’s our biggest book giveaway of the year!
I’ll be giving away 2 sets of all of my favorite books for 2016! This will be a great chance for you to score a pile of books. Be sure to check back with us next week for all the information!
…and the bad news
I’ve been doing Shelf Life for almost 6 years. It has been fun for me to get to know so many of you and to talk books. Many of you have given me great recommendations on books to read. I’ve gotten to know a lot of authors and have enjoyed working very closely with the amazing publishers in the Christian book industry. It’s been so much fun!
As with all of you, sometimes you hit seasons when life, both personally and professionally, gets more hectic and demanding. That’s where I’ve been for much of this year. After talking with some of my coworkers here at LifeWay, I have decided to put Shelf Life on hold for awhile. As you can imagine, working on a blog can be time consuming and challenging. I’m needing to start 2017 with more capacity and energy to pour into my book buying responsibilities for LifeWay. A few months ago as I was praying about ways to free up more time in my life, the Lord gently whispered that it would be good to end the blog for a season. So, that’s what I’m doing.
We have hopes that we’ll be back! And when we do, it will be bigger and better and we’ll be sure to let you know when that is. I’m so grateful to the many readers we’ve had and for the fun and support you’ve shown.
But don’t leave yet!
Next week is a big week as we celebrate some great books. See you then!
