Parents, in today’s Bible story your child learned that Jesus met a woman at a well. This is another encounter of Jesus and an outcast. The encounter with the Savior changed the woman’s life. God had a plan for her life, and He has a plan for you and your family—to love and follow Jesus.
Our Daily Bible Reading today reminds us that the Day of the Lord is coming and we are to put on our armor.
Take it Further: Check out the “Jesus and the Woman at the Well” section of the Bible Studies for Life: Kids Family App. Allow your child to dive further into the lessons each week with this FREE app that combines games and activities.
“Conversations about religion offer a great way to introduce your testimony and faith in Christ. A conversation, though, is quite different from a debate or, worse, an argument. Notice that arguing religion is a pitfall Jesus avoided, one that we also should avoid.” Ken Lovelace uses the story of the Woman at the Well to show us “The Power of Your Testimony” here: https://www.lifeway.com/en/articles/deacon-the-power-of-your-testimony
Nothing reflects our commitment and relationship to God quite like how we use our gifts. We spend money on what is important to us. Look at a person’s schedule and where his or her time is spent, and you can determine that person’s priorities.
Your children can be witnesses even at the camp they are going to this summer. Encourage them this week to tell one other person about Jesus. Memorize Mark 16:15 today together while you do something active outside. Take a walk, play basketball, but make it a game.
