Parents, today your child heard the Bible story of Lydia. Paul and his friends met Lydia and some other women by a river in Philippi. Lydia, a God-fearing woman, received the message of Christ, became a Christian, and was baptized.
The LifeWay Staff has made baptism a little easier to understand with their article “The Significance of Believer’s Baptism” which you can read here: https://www.lifeway.com/en/articles/church-baptism-the-significance-of-believers-baptism
Have you memorized the Unit Verse yet? If your children are older, give them paper and markers and encourage them to write the verse on the paper and decorate it with markers. They can display the verse in their bedrooms and practice saying the verse whenever they see it.
Take it Further: Check out the “Paul Taught Lydia About Jesus” section of the Bible Studies for Life: Kids Family App. Using games and activities, this FREE app allows your child to learn even more about each lesson.
