This can be a really scary idea—that God might be calling you to lead. Some of you are currently leading out, but you need help taking a next step. Others of you are terrified of the thing that keeps waking you up at night, or that you just can’t get out of your head—He’s asking you to step up and lead in some capacity.
Maybe God is asking you to lead in your church—to start a new missions effort or small group. Maybe God is asking you to lead in your neighborhood or community. You might be led to run for a local office or volunteer with an organization nearby. Perhaps your call to lead is closer to home. You are just trying to lead your children and their friends to grow closer to God and to love His Word. Any of these—and the countless other ways you may be called to lead—can be overwhelming. You may not know where to start or where to end!
We understand. We live in a culture that values leadership, but it can be difficult to know what that looks like as a woman and as a believer in Christ. We want to help!
Here at Lifeway Women, we offer training for you as a leader. We want to train and equip you to walk out the calling that God has put on your life, so here are the details you need to know.
National Leadership Training:
At the Women’s Forum in Nashville, Tenn., you’ll get to hear from some of our amazing Bible study authors, women leading in business and culture, and from women just like you. It’s an incredible opportunity to connect with around 1,000 women and be challenged in your leadership journey.
November 10-12, 2016 and November 9-11, 2017
Regional Leadership Training:
YOU Lead is leadership training for every woman held before each Living Proof Live with Beth Moore. No matter how or where you’re leading, you’ll find breakouts and teaching that will hit home.
If you’re a Women’s Ministry Leader, don’t miss YOU Lead One-Day! Before each Priscilla Shirer Live event, we’re going to host a crash course in Women’s Ministry for church leaders just like you.
We’ll be in 14 cities with YOU Lead in 2017, so don’t miss your chance to experience leadership training close to home.
Leadership Training Wherever You Are:
We also want to list a few free resources you can access no matter your location. Lifeway Leadership is a great website with a blog and resources for those who serve both inside and outside the church. Their podcast, 5 Leadership Questions, provides helpful interviews of leaders in many realms.
Selma Wilson also has a podcast and blog that is perfect for women in leadership. She offers practical advice for any and every leader. Our Women’s Ministry blog provides advice for those leading out in women’s ministry and mentoring. Dr. Rainer’s podcast, Rainer on Leadership, and his blog are also great resources for church leaders.
What leadership resources do you turn to for advice?
