Kick off 2014 with a comprehensive study of the book of Hebrews. In Hebrews: The Nearness of King Jesus, Lisa Harper teaches women what Jesus meant to the Hebrew people in that time period as well as what He means to believers today. It’s a great study for any level Bible study student.

After being fed a steady diet of chick flicks and happily ever after stories, Ever After: Life Lessons Learned in My Castle of Chaos focuses on fairy tale let-downs and finding your true happily ever after in Jesus. Topics in this study include: busyness, marriage, parenting, being part of a bigger story, and more. This study, from Vicki Courtney, is great for women who are mentoring younger women or for women who need to regroup from life’s distractions and hectic pace.

Based on teaching from a Living Proof Live event taped in Greensboro, NC, Sacred Secrets, from Beth Moore, can be used for weekly study or in a retreat setting. Contrary to the title, it is not about telling all of your secrets to those in your group but instead about going to a secret place and spending time with God. It’s about sharing with Him your secrets—hurts, disappointments, dreams, and hopes.

  1. WOW! So many fantastic choices! Looks like 2014 is going to be a great year of studying the Word, as my interest is truly peaked with this list!

  2. Christi McCabe says:

I have been hosting a weekly “Beth Moore” Bible Study for about 4 years. My church sponsors the group, but there are women from many different churches in the group. Over the years, several women have come to know the Lord and salvation during the studies!

We do love Beth’s sweet personality, but it is the anointing of the Holy Spirit that we love and most of all the FORMAT of the studies. We like the accountability of daily homework. We realize that every woman has the opportunity to allow the Holy Spirit to speak personally to her through each study as she independently works through it with the Lord.

We did do a Priscilla Shrier study “Wilderness”, a few years ago and that was awesome and she was great to learn from.
    Again, the format was similar.

We thank God for providing these studies and we thank Him for using all of you ladies and for sharing your gifts with us!!
