We’re excited today to introduce you to another one of LifeWay’s simulcast specialists: Kris Shields. Kris is the full-time Generations Ministry Assistant at Carmel Baptist Church in North Carolina. Kris and her husband Dale are the proud parents of two sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and a precious grandson, Caleb. Kris serves as our simulcast specialist for the southeast and is passionate about leading others to the throne of Jesus through worship and Bible studies.
For the past 38 years, I’ve been serving alongside women in ministry. I’ve experienced firsthand how beautiful it can be to walk alongside women and share life experiences with each other. Many years ago, I helped birth a women’s ministry in my home church. My desire was to see women experience the love of God through Bible study – walking out their lives together and close with Him. Our first Bible study was the original Breaking Free study by Beth Moore. Years later, I am still hearing testimonies about how God moved in their lives through the study and the FREEDOM they now have in Christ! Chains were definitely broken through that particular study! It was an honor for me to serve and begin our journey together there. Our journey continues now, and this past April, many of those same women joined us for the Priscilla Shirer Live simulcast! I am continuing to hear about the ways God’s love was poured out through His Word and the special prayer experience during the simulcast. It was such a blessing to be a part of the miracles of God!
Initially, I connected with LifeWay through Bible studies, but I’ve continued my relationship by serving as the southeastern simulcast specialist. I have grown passionate about simulcast events because of my desire to see the Great Commission fulfilled. I love seeing how the simulcast events carry the gospel around the world through the power of technology! I look forward to helping women in every walk of life connect together through studying God’s word during the simulcast.
