Did you know? There are more slaves in the world today than at any other point in human history, with an estimated 27 million in bondage across the globe. Men, women, and children are being exploited for manual and sexual labor against their will. The average age of trafficking victims is 12 years old, and another person becomes a victim every 30 seconds (Source: thea21campaign.org).
In 2012, Lifeway Women partnered with the A21 Campaign through the Going Beyond simulcast (now called Priscilla Shirer Live) to raise both money and awareness about human trafficking.
The A21 Campaign – founded by Nick and Christine Caine – is a ministry that focuses on rescuing, restoring, and equipping women and children who have been victims of human trafficking.
Through the generous donations of thousands of women who participated in the simulcast, almost $100,000 was raised to help build a safe house in Bulgaria where rescued women and children are now able to begin rebuilding their lives.
“Wow, Going Beyond has truly gone beyond! Beyond our wildest imaginations we now have a beautiful transition sanctuary in Sofia, Bulgaria. With your financial contribution, we proudly welcome women and children to a safe haven of protection. Your generous contribution towards freedom has allowed those previously in captivity to experience liberty, but more importantly, hope in redemption. On behalf of all of our global offices, thank you for living out the words of Paul the Apostle to the Galatian church, “It is for FREEDOM that Christ has set us free.”

We hope to do the same and more for our giving opportunity this year!
On April 27, the Priscilla Shirer Live simulcast will support Voice of the Martyrs, a non-profit, interdenominational organization with a vision for aiding Christians around the world who are being persecuted for their faith in Christ. In addition to the giving opportunity, Priscilla will lead simulcast attendees in a time focused on encouraging individuals who are currently imprisoned for their faith in restricted countries.
We hope all of you will join us for this exciting opportunity to dig deep into God’s word and give graciously to help our brothers and sisters who are currently imprisoned for their faith in Christ. You can read more about Voice of the Martyrs by visiting persecution.com.
