Psalm 19

The other day on Twitter, Beth Moore encouraged people to read through Psalm 18-27 during Holy week and ask God to speak to us.
And so I decided that seemed like a good thing to do. I’ve really wanted to be intentional about Holy Week this year and focus on the sacrifice Christ made on the cross. I don’t want to ever take his mercy and grace for granted.
I read Psalm 19 this morning and was really struck by verses 7-10.
“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.
The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.”
