This past weekend I kept having .MOM flashbacks: this time last weekend Melanie and I were slightly petrified, this time last weekend I was listening to Angela Cottrell share some seriously wise parenting insight, this time last weekend I was enjoying some delicious hash brown casserole for supper.
Okay. So maybe not every moment was deeply spiritual. However, I do believe the Lord gave me a fresh appreciation for frozen hash browns through that casserole, so obviously it had some lasting eternal value.
More than anything, though, I keep thinking how grateful I am to have been there. And I’m not the only one. Just today I got an email from a friend who said that she didn’t know when she had even been encouraged by an event so much, that looking around that room and seeing all the “likemindedness” was the greatest blessing she could have received.
I couldn’t agree with her more.
Next year’s .MOM is September 21-22 in Birmingham, and we would love to have you there. It really is an incredible time of filling up on the Word and addressing some areas in your parenting or in your marriage where you feel like you could benefit from someone else’s wisdom.
It’s a good thing. Because there’s strength in numbers.
And we hope you’re there with us in 2012!
