This weekend, lots of families celebrate fall harvest and others celebrate “scary” things! When you think of your ministry with women, what scares you? I can think of so many things I have feared in the past when I was faced with the calling of God to serve in women’s ministry and when I was faced with challenges I knew were way beyond my ability to handle. Think for a minute what fears you have as you consider what God is asking you to do to reach and disciple women… Let’s list some things:· There won’t be enough money · There isn’t enough time· There isn’t enough help· There’s only one of me· Conflict on my women’s team· I don’t have the education, experience, knowledge…….etc.· What if???· · · I left room for you to add your own fears. Why is it we think God will call and assign us certain things and that He will just abandon us to take care of it our self? Shortly before His crucifixion, Jesus assured His disciples that they would not be left all on their own to accomplish His work after He was no longer with them physically. “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. John 14:15-16 (HCSB) If He calls us to a task, a project, a ministry, a woman…He promises to be with us through the power of the Holy Spirit. Why do I ever doubt? Why do you? His power is equal to His power. Leaders, today, let’s walk in that assurance! Please share your fears and how you walk in power through them.
