What a wonderful Frazzled Female extravaganza last week in Greensboro, Alabama! We explored ways to grow our intimacy with Jesus. I just love talking about that relationship. It’s central to every single quest for a saner lifestyle.
If you are a child of God (meaning at some time in your life you invited Jesus Christ into your heart) then God is your Father and Jesus is your Savior. You are indwelt with His Presence, the Holy Spirit. Based on Paul’s words in Acts 17:28, I call the Spirit my LIFE MOVER.
“In Him I live and move and have my being.”
Here’s the rub. Moving and flowing in the GRACE, is often stymied in the stresses of daily living. On many days, that moving about in the unforced rhythm of grace gives way to trudging about in a sludgy shuffle. According to Jesus in Mark 4:19, “The worries of this life choke the word.”
In our FRAZZLED FEMALE FRIDAY time together, I’d like to address some of the issues causing you to be stuck in the sludge instead of flowing in the rhythm of His Grace.
Girls, we can break through this barrier. We must! We must do it for ourselves, for our families, and for our God!
I’d appreciate it if you would take a moment to comment – in a sentence or two – about what’s blocking the Holy Flow in your life. And, take heart. God really does love frazzled females. He is for you and is committed to helping you experience His Grace!

Thank you Cindi for speaking the truth about what women face every day! I think the main thing that I allow to dam up the Spirit of God in my life is fear. Fear of failing, fear of ridicule, fear of doing something wrong, plus many more. God deals with me on a daily basis to use His strength and rely His abilities instead of trying to do it all on my own. I have found that on too many occasions I have let fear creep into my life and allowed it to have paralizing effects on me, which in turn turned my days into FRAZZLED messes!

  2. Jesus said it exactly right: the worries of this life. Not worries as in “worrying” but as in just all the things that have to be done in a day. Making beds, packing lunches, showering, preparing meals . . .etc. etc. etc. You do these things on auto-pilot and forget to do EVERYTHING through His grace.

How great to get real about things!!! My lack of self control really dams things up for me – I’m not intentional about staying focused on Him and next thing I know – whoop – I’m walkin in the flesh. Praise God He loves us even though He truly knows us – nothing can be better than that.

  4. Dear Cindi,
For me I think I have allowed the fear of the unknown to block the Holy Spirit’s movement and peace in my life. I refer to it as a lack of trust on my part. I lose my Focus in the day to day stresses. It’s 4:00 am, and I am so awake thinking about “things”. However,as I move away from my computer and move into His word for the reminders of how He loves me and wants me to “rest in His shadow as I dwell in the shelter of the Most High”,(Ps. 91:1), He will remove that fear. Thank you for helping me break through that barrier in my life with your FF ministry.

Oh, thank you! So, often I get busy doing the “right things” – plural – that I just don’t give all of them the time they deserve. God made one of me (to the great relief of many!) and He often thinks so much of me that He gives me my choice in serving Him. And oh how it blesses me to bless Him! I need to be reminded not to steal that blessing from others by taking their service choice away from them.
