Hello Greensboro!

Can I be honest? I’ve been looking forward to Deeper Still since January! I can’t believe that it is actually July (where has the year gone?) and that our time in God’s Word and worshipping at His feet together is almost here. Just one more weekend away.

Jerry, the boys and I have been having a blast this summer. We’ve been swimming, horse back riding, playing in the back yard, and trying to survive this Texas heat! It’s hard to believe my boys are already 6 (Jackson), 5 (JC), and 8 months (Jude). And, girlfriend, I AM TIRED! I need next weekend. I need Deeper Still. I need to sit with you and soak in God’s presence and power in my life.

I am eager to see how the Lord is going to speak to each of us next weekend. Would you begin to ask the Lord how He wants you to prepare for our time together? I’m in complete anticipation that He is going to show up and blow our minds. Would you already plan to walk in obedience in whatever He may ask of you? Miss Kay, Miss Beth and I are expecting a fun, life-giving time with you next weekend.

I’ve become more and more excited about the message I believe He wants me to share with you. Every time I read the passage that I’m going to go over with you, chills go down my spine because I get overwhelmed at its implications. So, go ahead and take a peak at Ephe sians 3:20-21 and see how God might speak to you even before we get to the Greensboro Coliseum

One of my favorite parts of Deeper Still comes at the end. If you are familiar at all with the event, you know that at the end of the conference there is a “panel discussion” where Miss Kay, Miss Beth and I answer questions that you all have about anything and everything. I normally do most of the “asking” so that I can let Miss Beth and Miss Kay do most of the “answering”. Like you, I want to sit and glean from their immense wisdom. In the past we’ve answered personal questions and theological ones. Silly ones and serious ones. And, as you can imagine, it gets rather interesting! One time, Miss Beth and I actually ended up laughing so hard that we fell to the floor!

What we need from you is to reply to this post and leave a comment with ANY question that you want us to answer at the event. We will read through all of your questions and select some to answer next weekend. I know you have questions. Don’t be scared. Ask away….

Can’t wait to see you next weekend!
Priscilla

  1. Hi Priscilla!
I won’t be there, but maybe I can get the recording of it later. What I would love to hear all 3 of you talk about is this: How in the world are all of the denominations and churches of THE Church supposed to get along? It’s got to be possible! There are hundreds of great churches here in Greensboro, and I’d love to see all of us working together to change our city but we’re not quite there yet. How do we not let our differences get in the way of us partnering together to pursue one common goal? I would love some practical tips and personal insight from you gals!
    Thanks!

  2. I am SO EXCITED about what God has to reveal to all of us next weekend. I need retreat. I need an escape with the LORD. I just prayed for all three of you, Priscilla, Beth and Kay that God will fill you with his presence right now and your hearts and minds with wisdom as you teach us. I prayed that He will fill our hearts with worship as we come together to honor Him.
    SO EXCITED~
    Love you!

  3. I’d like to know how Miss Kay’s son Mark is doing. I listened to 2006 talk she gave at a conference and she talked about her son Mark who came down with a serious illness. Let her know I’ve been praying for him.

I can’t wait either! Boy do I need the “rest” too!
One serious question. How do you handle criticism about your ministry?
Fun question. How long does the beautification process take for each of you and what is involved?
One more. As a Public Speaking teacher I want to know if you practice out loud before you speak? And how often do you just “go with The Spirit” and speak impromptu, if you will?
I have already been praying and will continue to do so. I plan to arrive on Thursday and walk around the coliseum and pray also. It is going to be a great weekend!
    Much love!
    Kristi B.

  5. My question is this: Do either Beth, Pricilla or Kay feel intimidated at thoughts of speaking in front of each other since all three are world renown Bible teachers? I would think that would be more daunting than speaking in front of 15,000 ordinary women.
I am so looking forward to hearing the messages that God has in store for us next weekend!

Will any more of the Deeper Still events be released on video? I am unable to attend this year due to the present economy and being in the automobile business and would love to be able to be a part through digital download or buying the leader kit.

  7. Greetings to you Priscilla:)
I was checking out the Deeper Still blog this year. It is good to hear that you are doing well with your new little one. I remember last year when little one was still developing in your belly!:) Let’s see, questions (these might be a bunch) for you, Kay, and Beth:
Priscilla (really for all three of you:),
I’ve heard that being a mom can be too much sometimes, what do you do to be able to collect yourself when you feel overwhelmed or need a break? Have someone else watch the kids for an hour? Pray constantly?
Kay, over the years, during the hard seasons of your life, what kept you close to God’s side? What verses encouraged you to remain steadfast in your faith and your trust in God’s Goodness and plan for your life?
Beth, if you had to narrow it down, what life lesson or few lessons that God has taught you is/are most important to you? What lesson(s) come to your mind the most in your day to day living?
For all three: What is your most effective scripture to claim in the midst of spiritual warfare with the enemy?
For all three: How does a person keep being filled with the Holy Spirit so that they can produce all the fruit of the Spirit? Is it simply requesting for it in prayer often? How important is the Holy Spirit in daily, victorious living?
For all three: What verses do you meditate on to keep you humble?
These are all I can think of right now:)
I am super excited about Deeper Still 09!!!
    See ya’ll there:)

  8. With all of the many, many things I feel burdened to pray about, I get overwhelmed by all of it. So, here is my question: Is there an effective way to pray about all of the things we need to be praying about? I feel so overwhelmed by the prayer needs in my life and then feel guilty that I did not pray long enough or include everything that I should have when I pray. When do you drop people off of your list that you’ve promised to pray for? Is there a way to pray without feeling like it is never enough? I’d love to hear these godly women speak on this issue that I struggle with. I get so overwhelmed that Satan lies to me and tells me to just not worry with it all.

  9. Shanna Daniels says:

My question is to Beth. Coming from a long life of sexual abuse and other things of that source, how do I REALLY find peace and deliverance so that I can have a normal intimate relationship with my husband. I want to be whole but it just doesn’t seem possible. I love all three of you wonderful women of God and I cannot wait to hear what thus sayeth the Lord.

  10. Kelly S. says:

HI Priscilla! I was at Women of Joy in Sevierville when you came out with Jude…he is a real cutie!
My question has to do with women and their role in church services, more specifically prayer. Is it proper for women to pray when there are men present or perhaps teach a Sunday school class of men and women? And how do you handle the prayer issue with your husband?
I’m thinking in the context of 1 Corinthians 11 and 14 (especially 14:34-35).
Thanks! I can’t wait for next weekend!!

  11. My question is how do you deal with difficult in-law relations? Other than prayer, what is the best way to reach out to a person who is afraid of having a personal relationship with God?

  12. Hi! I cannot wait for this weekend! It’s going to be great! My mom and I are coming together, and we are so excited!
My question is this: What are ways to biblically handle feelings of insecurity? I struggle with this issue a lot, and would love insight from all three of you! Thanks!

  13. Greetings Priscilla! I’ve been looking forward to the DS conference for a long time too! It will be such a treat to see and hear you all in Greensboro. When we lived in the Carolinas, I was blessed to hear your daddy on the radio each evening at 9:30 – he was a part of my nightly settling in routine before we moved.
My questions: What blesses you all the most? And the next one, I ask because you said not to be scared. My youngest teen had encouraged me to ask Siesta Mama for a hug the last time I had the opportunity and I was too scared… So I’m not going to be scared – May I have a hug from you all? Even a sandwich hug would be great – you know, we all hug at the same time – 2 people are the bread, one the peanut butter, one the jelly (or tomato and mayo would be good this time of year!) Typing that makes me laugh! Or we could be turkey and cheese,
    Obviously I’m the turkey!
    Blessings to you all.
