It was obvious from the enthusiasm about our 25 Make-Ahead Breakfasts post that we all need some easy, go-to recipes! For busy families on-the-go, prepping beforehand is crucial. So I thought today I’d share 25 great slow cooker meals.

You can toss these in the slow cooker in the morning and have dinner waiting when you are ready for it. Better yet, prep as much as you can on a Saturday and freeze your meals in gallon-sized plastic zipper bags. Then you can just dump one in the slow cooker (defrosting it the night before is best, but usually not a deal-breaker) on your way out the door.

Do you have a favorite slow cooker recipe? Please share it in the comments!

  4. Ok. Silly question. Is a Slow Cooker and a Crockpot the same thing?

  5. nice

  6. Looks like a yummy list. A big thing that got me hooked on the 40 meals list and website was that it comes with a shopping list. Someone did the work of compiling every mention of soy sauce to tell me that I should buy 14 gallons of soy sauce (okay, I may be exaggerating just a little!)

I printed the list, shopped, stuffed my freezer bags, and my freezer, and I’m still working through the crockpot meals. Any chance someone wants to do the work for the list of 25 you have here?

  7. Thanks so much for including my crockpot chili recipe here! You’ve got a great lineup of slow-cooker meals in your list!

  8. Thanks for linking up to our stuffed pepper soup!

Brown pork chops quickly and put into cooker. Cover each and all with applesauce. Season with cinnamon. Cook about 6 hours. That’s it!!! and the best!!!

  13. Does anyone know if these can be done in a Dutch oven. I have a clay one and the new one from Tupperware. What temp and time would you use? They do not have crockpots in Norway! They thought I was crazy when I asked about them in the store!!

  14. Leanne, Here are instructions on how to convert a recipe for the oven: http://www.ehow.com/how_4926523_convert-cooker-times-oven-time.html
