“For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11
It’s officially the new year. 2013. I can remember a time when that date seemed so far off. As a child it seemed almost futuristic. But here we are and while there have definitely been advances in technology, for the most part, robots and flying cars aren’t part of our every day use. As I reflect over the last year and prepare for the new year, I am drawn to Jeremiah 29:11. I don’t know for certain what the next year holds for me or my family, but God does. I have to lean in to that. As a mom, that is so hard. I am used to planning everything. Down to the minute details.
What verse is God bringing to your mind at the start of this year? What do you think he is trying to teach you this year?
