I woke up this morning thinking, for one brief but glorious moment, that it was Friday. Then, realizing it was not, I rolled out of bed (which already had four children in it) and stumbled to the kitchen. I proceeded to make a cup of hot tea for myself and some biscuits for the kiddos. In my what-do-you-mean-it-isn’t-Friday stupor, I put a teaspoon of butter in my tea instead of sugar. That, my friends, is where you find me at this moment – in my pajamas (which, by the way, I just realized are inside out), drinking buttery tea and wondering how in the world I am going to keep up with this youngest child who has finally decided she wants to crawl.
I can’t help but wonder what you are up to this morning. Are you tired? Are you feeling lost or alone? Is a loved one ill? Are you missing someone this morning? I want you to know I care about you. From one weary traveler to another, you are not alone. I am walking this pilgrim pathway right beside you. Just look for the one who hasn’t brushed her hair in a couple of days.
So, take a little break. Let’s drink a nice hot beverage (probably without butter), read some great bloggy stuff and pretend it’s Friday. ‘Kay?
