When Relationships Collide Session 6: Live It Out option for Boomers

To wrap up the session, remind group members of the Johnny Nash song from 1972, “I Can See Clearly Now.” Share the lyrics with the group or invite group members to recall some of the lines from the song. Note in particular: “I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way … Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.”

Ask:

  1. What are some of the dark clouds that can keep us from seeing God’s hand at work?
  2. What are some things we might do to dissipate those clouds?

Draw attention to the first Live It Out statement about trust. If we can remove the clouds, great. But even if we can’t remove the clouds, we can trust that God is still at work.

We want to hear from you! How are you helping the boomers in your class or small group see the big picture and see conflict from God’s perspective?
