Parents, today your child heard the story of Abram and Lot. These family members had a problem to solve, and they solved it by working together. Thank God for the ability to think and solve problems.
Wow! Our Daily Bible Reading, found on the One Conversation™ Page, shows us the humanity of Jesus Christ. His appeal still ended with giving control back to his Father. What do you need to give to God today?
Our theme this week as we study about Abram and Lot is Fear Not. Tom Blackaby discusses this theme in his article “From Fear to Faith.” “So what about you? What do you fear? Fear will prevent you from experiencing God’s plan for your life. If you let fear control whether or not you obey God, you have already lost the race. Fear inhibits the heart, but faith strengthens the heart. Faith allows you to move into uncharted territory with full confidence that God is already there waiting for you.” http://www.lifeway.com/Article/ministry-Blackaby-From-fear-to-faith
We have be learning Genesis 1:1, the Unit Verse for this month. God not only created the earth and heavens, He also created people and families. Talk about what it means to have a family created by God.

When we read the headlines, we can easily get the impression that evil is winning. Evil is rampant, and unfortunately, evil will even present itself as good. We can still recognize evil for what it is because the truth will always line up with Jesus Christ.
