Bible Story: Ananias Met Paul Acts 9:10-22

 

Life Point: My actions show that I love Jesus.

Life Verse: Always follow God. 1 Peter 4:19

Christ Focus: Jesus changes people’s hearts.

Bible Focus: Ananias went to a house to help Paul.

Materials: Bible, today’s Bible Marker, Bible Story Picture: “Ananias Met Paul,” large cardboard box, craft knife (teacher’s use)

  • Cut a door and windows into one side of the box. Stand the box in a corner of the room. Place the Bible Story Picture and marked Bible inside the house.
  • As children play in the house, use the opportunity to show the picture and talk about the Bible story.
  • Open the Bible and read the verse. Comment that Ananias did what God told him to do.

3–Pre-K—Make Postcards for Friends

Bible Story: Ananias and Saul Acts 9:10-16,20-22

 Life Point: Show that you love Jesus.

Life Verse: God will give you strength. 1 Peter 5:10

 Christ Focus: Hope in Jesus.

Bible Focus: Ananias helped Saul.

 Materials: Teaching Picture 7, unlined index cards, markers, stickers or labels printed with Jesus

  • Display the Teaching Picture with the art materials.
  • Invite the children to make a postcard for a friend to tell them about Jesus. Ask the children to tell you what friends they would like to give the card.
    • Show the Teaching Picture and talk about the Bible story.

Kindergarten—Outline Letters

 Bible Story: Ananias and Saul Acts 9:10-16,20-22

 Life Point: Show that you love Jesus.

Life Verse: God will give you strength. 1 Peter 5:10

 Christ Focus: Hope in Jesus.

 Bible Focus: God told Ananias to help Saul.

 Materials: Teaching Picture 7; masking tape; small items to outline letters such as drink lids, small cube blocks, river rocks, and florist jewels

  • Use tape to make the names ANANIAS and SAUL on the floor. Put the items in bowls or other containers near the names. Display the Teaching Picture.
  • Show the Teaching Picture to an interested kindergartner. Point to the names and comment they are the names of the men in the Bible story.
    • Invite the kindergartners to outline the names using the items provided.
