What situations or circumstances make you feel vulnerable or scared? Name them in prayer, inviting God to teach you today more about who He is in those situations.

Because God is faithful, we can trust Him to act according to His goodness and faithfulness in all situations, even the difficult ones. His faithfulness will be a protective shield, because it will always cover us.
Behind the Story
The figurative language used in Psalm 91—a shadow, refuge, fortress, protective shield, and feathers and wings—express confidence in God’s nurture and protection. Most of the psalms are prayers to God or songs of praise, but Psalm 91 (except verse 2) is God’s assurance to those who worship Him.
Think back to the situations that make you feel vulnerable or scared. Thank God that He will cover you with His feathers and His faithfulness will be your protective shield. Write the words of verse 2 in agreement with the psalmist over your specific circumstance. Repeat them to God as a prayer.
