The Book of Hebrews serves as a great encouragement to hold fast to Jesus, to trust in God’s promises. The word “faith” occurs 27 times in Hebrews 11. Genuine faith moves us to live every day as God has told us. We can experience a victorious faith when it is grounded in Jesus Christ. #JesusFTW
We’ve all made promises and we’ve all had promises made to us. We know friendship and trust comes from following through. But sadly, we’ve also felt the pain caused by broken promises. Both ones made to us, as well as some we’ve made. Our word is among the most precious things we possess. You see, God is a God of promises, and He absolutely cannot lie. We are most like Him when we follow through on our promises to Him and others.
