Jesus, through His death and resurrection, has done something incredible for us. He’s given us peace with God. In Romans 6, Paul teaches us that in light of what Jesus has done, we are to live differently than we once did. We are no longer dominated by sin. #JesusFTW
Every day, the way we live speaks loudly to those who look upon our lives. How you dress says something about your personal tastes. Your haircut speaks to your style preferences. The hours you work, the car you drive, the food you eat, and the people you hang out with all become a testimony of the things you value.
When we are baptized, we declare to the world that we’ve died to the flesh and now live for Jesus. Having taken on His name, every word, every action, every moment, every day, you’re telling the story of Jesus to others who need to know Him. As leaders, we have the responsibility to communicate the truth to our students, not just through our words in our groups, but every day with our lives. This is the beautiful baptism reality. As you prepare, ask God to help you do this well.
